Hotel Belcredi

Hotel Belcredi offers 15 rooms with new equipment including room for immobile person. Car park and hotel bar is at visitor disposal. Large hall situated in the hotel, can be used for various occasions. Restaurant, large castle park, ceremonial hall, riding-school and library are other hotel facilities.   Hotel Belcredi is the part of newly reconstructed classicistic castle, which was built in the second decade of 18th century, and is situated in beautiful, peaceful and natural surroundings on Brno periphery close to Marian valley and near to historical place of The Three Emperors Battle at Slavkov, Moravian Karst and Drahanska highlands.   History of Lisen castle
Original residence of Lisen castle owners was fort but it is not known when it was built. A Bulbous tower was added in the 17th century, destroyed by fire in 1794 and never rebuilt. In the second decade of 18th century owner of Lisen castle Jan Krystof from Freynfels decided to reconstruct the castle in baroque style. The project of reconstruction was probably projected by Vienna’s architect Odelt. In 1727 Jan Krystof added Virgin Mary’s chapel, which is decorated by rococo style painting. Sculptor Schweigl was asked to do the sculpture works in chapel and park. After the family of Freynfels, Belcredi family administrated the castle till the middle of 20th century when the castle was expropriated as a consequence of political changes. The family of Belcredi is old family line from the later 13th century and its founder is considered to be Simone de Belcredo. His full name was Belcredo Montallto Pavese di Castelo. The family had patrician origin from Pavie in Italy. From 1549 family members held leading positions in town council in Italy and the family belonged to the most outstanding families in the region. Thanks to Antonio Belcredi one of the family lines moved to Moravia in 18th century. The family of Belcredi was relationally connected with the family of Lobkovic, Rohan, Welden, Funfkirchen, Nostic and other Czech and foreign families. In the apartment there is a separate living room and bedroom + 2 bathrooms. In the double room there is only 1 room + private bathroom. Family complex consists from 1 double room, 1 triple room and 1 common bathroom.
